About:

The Advanced Analysis Lab (AAL) focuses on the advanced Engineering Analysis using Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tool. The AAL addresses complex engineering challenges by safeguarding the balance between technological design options and functional performance. From testing and mechanical simulation to model-based systems engineering, it enables engineers to understand the functional performance engineering of mechanical & mechatronics systems. This software can solve problems related to noise, vibration and harshness (NVH), acoustics, durability, dynamics, performance, fuel economy and control development.

Objectives:

⮚ Industrial exposure: Students getting an opportunity to learn about advanced technologies developed by Siemens in the field of CAE & Data acquisition.
⮚ Skill development: This lab provides an opportunity for the students to upgrade their skills in the field of FEA, CAE, CFD, mechatronics system design etc.

Facilities Available:

The system simulation, 3D CAE and testing facility help trainees and industry to predict performance across all critical attributes before and during the entire product life cycle. By combining physics-based simulations with insights gained from data analytics, Simcenter helps Trainees & industry optimize the design and deliver new products faster.

Software Support:

1. Simcenter 3D

Simcenter 3D is one of the most comprehensive, fully integrated CAE tool mainly used for Structural analysis.

2. Simcenter Star CCM+

Simcenter STAR-CCM+ is a Multi-physics computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation software that enables CFD engineers to model the complexity and explore the possibilities of products operating under real-world conditions.

3. Simcenter Amesim

Simcenter Amesim is a leading integrated, scalable system simulation platform, allowing system simulation engineers to virtually assess and optimize the performance of mechatronics systems.

5. Simcenter Testlab

Simcenter Testlab is an integrated solution combining data acquisition with testing and analytics tools.

Hardware Support:

The hardware associated with advanced analysis lab is mainly focus on the data acquisition purposes which is the gathering of data in real time from remote locations to control equipment and conditions. The hardware gathers and feeds data into field controller systems, which forward the data to other systems that process and present it to a human-machine interface (HMI) in a timely manner.
